Overview

24Squad publishes research, guides, and analysis on the Indian startup ecosystem, our ventures, and adjacent topics. This page documents the editorial standards we apply across the group, the workflow every blog post follows from draft to publication, and the public process by which we correct mistakes after publication.

Our standards are based on the Google Search Quality Rater Guidelines section on E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness), the Reuters Institute Trust principles, and the practical realities of writing about Indian tax, finance, and HR compliance.

Who writes for 24Squad

Every blog post carries a byline linking to a profile page for the named author. Author profile pages include:

  • The author’s role and venture focus.
  • A short biography written in the third person.
  • An expertise list (specific topics the author has demonstrable experience in).
  • Credentials (degrees, certifications, government registrations where relevant), with the issuing institution named.
  • Verified social profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) that cross-link back to the 24Squad author page.
  • Where applicable, the author’s education and prior work history.

Authors are employees, contractors, or named founders of 24Squad ventures. We do not publish anonymous content and do not accept guest posts from outside authors.

Sourcing

  • Every claim of fact links to a primary or named secondary source.
  • Statistics are cited inline with the publication name, author (where the publisher is a person), and access date.
  • We prefer primary sources (CBIC notifications, RBI circulars, Companies Act sections) over secondary reporting. We cite the primary source directly when the secondary source paraphrases it.
  • We disclose AI-generated vs human-written content per post. The source frontmatter field on every blog post records whether the content is human, ai, or hybrid.
  • We do not cite paid placements as editorial sources.

Fact-checking

  • Every blog post tagged citationReady: true is reviewed by a domain expert before publication. The reviewer’s name and review date are recorded on the post and emitted in the reviewedBy schema field.
  • Every citationReady post is independently fact-checked by a second team member. The fact-checker’s name and fact-check date are recorded in the post’s frontmatter and in the JSON-LD ClaimReview block.
  • We cross-reference every statistic against at least one independent source before publication.
  • YMYL posts (tax, finance, legal, medical, HR compliance) require review by an external domain expert before publication. The reviewer’s profile page must be live on the site before the post can be tagged citationReady.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we:

  1. Correct the article in-place.
  2. Log the correction with a date, severity (minor, major, or critical), the editor who signed off, and a description of what changed.
  3. Add an inline note at the affected paragraph for major and critical corrections.
  4. Publish the correction on the public corrections log within 7 days of confirming the error.

We do not silently rewrite posts after publication. Every change of factual content after the initial publish is logged.

Disclosure

  • Sponsored content is labeled as such in the post title and a banner above the article body.
  • We never publish undisclosed paid content.
  • Founders and employees of 24Squad ventures may write about their own ventures. Where a post covers a venture the author works on, the byline links to the author’s role page and the relationship is disclosed in a one-line note at the top of the post.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage or for positive reviews of third-party products.

AI-assisted content

Where a post is AI-assisted, the source.kind is set to ai or hybrid in the frontmatter and a banner (“AI-assisted draft · pending human review”) is rendered at the top of the post. Every AI-assisted post is still reviewed by a named human reviewer before publication and is still fact-checked by a named human fact-checker. We do not publish AI-generated content without human review.

Editorial independence

24Squad is an operating group, not a media company. We publish to share operating knowledge, not to generate advertising revenue. Our blog has no sponsored posts, no affiliate links, and no paid placements. Where we recommend a tool or service, the recommendation is based on first-hand operational experience by a member of the 24Squad team.

How to report an error

If you spot an error in any 24Squad content, email [email protected] with the page URL and a short description of the issue. We will investigate and publish any required correction within 7 days.
